10/14/2022 WSCC Service Day – Lunch at the Winston-Salem Street School

This year, to honor University Day and give back to our Winston-Salem community, we will be providing lunch on Friday, October 14th, to students and teachers at the Winston-Salem Street School.

Established in 2004, the Street School is an alternative education setting for at-risk youth in the Greater Winston-Salem area. Having successfully graduated 300 students in the past 18 years, WSSS has seen its graduates move forward to college, full-time employment and military service, helping break cycles of poverty and despair in our community.

There are several ways to get involved with this service project:

• • Make a donation to cover lunch expenses. We’ll be feeding 70 people, so our goal is to raise $700 for the meal. Any extra funds will be used to purchase toiletries and non-perishable food items for students in need.

• • Bring dessert or drinks to the Street School to be served with the meal.

• • Join us on Friday, October 14th to serve lunch to students and teachers.
